I enjoy mountain hikes. Muir is right. The mountains energize and refresh a person.

Some say the weather gods miss being acknowledged and supplicated and all you have to do is offer up a prayer and they will be grateful. We did a little chant I composed recently to the sky gods and local protectors and when we got to the line supplicating them directly rain started drumming on the metal roof of this rural property. And soon after we finished the chant and were getting ready to go, the rain stopped. The Tibetans say that auspicious coincidences like that are a sign of being in tune. Neat.
